Announcing Caspio 8.6
April 20, 2015
We’re excited to announce the release of Caspio 8.6 for all new and existing customers.
In this version, we have released the much-anticipated “Bulk Edit” feature, as well as other enhancements to help you create more powerful applications.
Watch the video below for a quick tour of the new features, and be sure to read the release notes for complete details.
Feature Highlights:
Bulk Edit
Bulk Edit allows you to update fields and apply the same changes to multiple records all at once. Simply select the records you want to change, click on the “Bulk Edit” option, and then update any fields in the pop-up window.
In the issue tracking example shown above, the Bulk Edit option allows you to update the status, notes, and assignment of multiple records at the same time.
Other enhancements included in this release:
- Self-Joins in Views: We have enhanced Views to support self-joins, which allow you to create a relationship between records in the same table by joining the table to itself. A common use case for this feature is to display a subset of data in the same table.
- New “File” App Parameter: This new type of App Parameter allows you to easily manage references to static files and images across an entire application.
- Cascading Elements in Grid Edit, Bulk Edit and Inline Insert/Edit: Cascading elements are now available for all interactive editing options.
- Redesigned App Icons: All the app icons displayed in deployed DataPages have been upgraded with a clean “flat” design. No additional configuration is necessary.
Read the release notes for details on all the new features for all the Caspio editions.
