Challenge | Needed a supplemental solution to handle more physician-level data |
Why Caspio |
|
My name is Shane Wieberg. I’m a director of Decision Support for Emory Healthcare in the Greater Atlanta area.
Emory Healthcare has 10 nationally recognized hospitals, three physician group practices, and about 4.1 million visits per year.
Like every business, Emory Healthcare used spreadsheets to email out and gather data, or create reports. We also had a couple of paper-based processes at that time. Numerous spreadsheets were taking up much of our productivity hours.
In 2009, we implemented a decision support tool. We needed to find a supplemental solution to handle more valuable information, such as the physician-level data. That’s how we came across the Caspio platform.
We liked how it was easy to use and understand. We can deploy data pages quickly and easily to our end users in an instant.
We now have an application where we don’t need to email spreadsheets, we don’t have to compile things back together, and we don’t have to wait for paper to come back to us.
We now have more time to analyze, to put our focus on what the system actually needs.
The Caspio platform enabled us to develop these applications and make them instantly available through phone or computer. We can look at our data, and say, “That’s what we’re using to tell where we need to go for the future.”
For someone working in a hospital setting, dealing with a lot of reports and data analytics, I recommend starting with the Caspio platform immediately because it’s easier to learn.
You don’t need a coding experience. You can expand on it at any point. You can reach out to the Caspio support team or learn yourself. You can just start developing healthcare applications and other apps that are useful and immediately available to the users.
Caspio would help increase productivity time and analytics, decrease time in just gathering spreadsheets.
