Hi, and welcome everyone to this video guide on how to build a simple COVID test tracking application with Caspio’s low code, no code platform. In the following five videos, we’re gonna take a look at the application overview. In this video, we’re going to take a look at a quick demo of the application so that you know exactly what we plan on developing in today’s video guide. In the second video, we’re going to learn how to create all the database tables and all the data types needed for our application database. In the third video, we’re going to learn how to set up all the login screens, which will allow our patients and admin level users to log in and look at data. In the fourth video, we’re going to learn how to build all the forms and reports. In other words, all the functionality for our app. And in the final video, we’re gonna talk about deployment so that you can see how we take the entire application and how we deploy the application to the web.

So now let’s take a quick look at our application that we plan on developing in this video guide. The whole premise of this application is for patients to be able to self register. And once they sign up, they’re gonna be able to log into their account. And once logged in, they’re gonna be able to see the results of their test. Here I can see the test type, status of my test, date tested and completion date. And I can also see who the test was ordered by. In the details I can see more information pertaining to that test. And from here, I can download my results in a PDF format.

I can double click on my results. And from here, I can download the PDF document back to my computer, or I can print the results to display the results to somebody else. On the flip side, when we log in as the admin level user, we’re gonna be able to see the list of all of our patients. We can go into details. And from here, I can see all of the prior tests and the results. I can order a new test for a patient. And upon my selection and submission of the form, we will trigger an email to go out to the patient to let them know that their results are gonna be available within 24 to 48 hours. And I can also go back to my patient’s details and be able to update any of the results inside a tabular format. So this is a very quick and simple COVID testing application built on the Caspio platform.

Of course, like any other application in Caspio you can expand upon this application to make it more comprehensive and sophisticated. You can change out the labels. You can change out the fields, but in this video guide, we’re going to learn how to build this very simple workflow. And as I mentioned before, you can always expand upon the application. If you need to change the functionality and the workflow very easily using Caspio’s point and click tools.
